Environmental Audits – any development granted the EA, EMP, WUL as well as closure plan is required to conduct periodic audits (both internal and external). These audits are conduct to assess the level of project/development compliance with the specific conditions stipulated in the aforementioned documents (licenses, permits, authorisations, etc.).

LMI Environmental Management Services has experience in conducting environmental audits through different phase of the project development (construction, operation and decommissioning).

Aquatic Ecological Assessment – this process include the assessment of aquatic macroinvertebrates (SASS5), habitat assessment (IHAS), toxicity testing (screening and definitive test) through the use of Direct Estimation of the Ecological Effect Potential (DEEEP) approach, water quality analysis and other methodologies applicable to this assessment. LMI Environmental Management Services has extensive experience in conducting the aforementioned methodologies for various purposes (impact assessment, monitoring, research, Water Use Licence, etc.). Our experience also includes conducting biomonitoring assessment for Waste Water Treatment Works (WWTW), Water Treatment Works (WTW) and other freshwater ecosystems.

Environmental Monitoring – this is a systematic process for assessing the level of environmental compliance (air quality, water quality, waste, etc.) against the regulated threshold. LMI Environmental Management Services has experience in the development and undertaking of comprehensive Environmental Monitoring Programme. Through our commitment and guidance we strive to ensure our clients reports all monitoring results timeously.

Phase I Environmental Due Diligence – this involves the assessment and collection of data to determine the environmental conditions of the premises prior transaction. The assessment is based on determining the Recognised Environmental Condition (REC) and Historic Recognised Environmental Condition (HREC) which plays a crucial role in the transaction process. LMI Environmental Management Services is experienced in the undertaking and quantifying environmental risks and liabilities.

Environmental Impact Assessment – this process involves the assessment, identification, evaluation, mitigation as well as maximisation of impacts (social and biophysical impacts) associated with the proposed development. The outcome of this process will assist the competent authority to make informed decision on the proposed development and also to ensure the developer takes accountability of environmental and social responsibilities/concerns. LMI Environmental Management Services specialists are well experienced in conducting thorough impact assessment in various sectors (mining, powerlines, transportation, urban development, etc.).
